Briscoe Shutters, Hurricane Shutters have a 1” x 4” x 1/8” (standard) Build out Frame, that bolts onto the building around the window or door opening. Then the Shutter attaches to the Build out Frame, closing the Shutter requires only two 1/4” stainless steel thumbscrews per leaf.  Our unique design requires NO ADDITIONAL STORM BARS, NO SHEET METAL, or NO LEXAN BACKING PANELS to meet “Miami-Dade County Product Control Approved” strict Notice of Acceptance criteria

Briscoe Shutters: Decorative Shutter, and Hurricane Shutter components; Structural aluminum tubing, flat bar, angle, and hinges minimum 1/8” thick, our slats are a minimum 1/4” thick, we use structural aluminum in the construction of all our Shutter Systems.
